Dear  Deltisti Friends,

I am able to consider Lancia Delta as a daughter . In '86, when it was decided for the incredible group B to be put into pension for various motives, l'ing. Lombardi summoned me  to Abarth to illustrate the Lancia Delta 4WD project.

Immediately they remained perplexed and at the same time worried, but also the were fascinated by the idea of having to develop from nothing a production car and to make it competitive in a new rallystica category.

 I have to say that the first rides of the series car filled me with enthusiasm for the easiness of the drive and performance, even  though I was used to those over  500 cv Group B. 

At the first race comes the first victory, the Rally of Montecarlo '87, demonstrating that the basis of the car was of the highest quality.

The next step was to Integrale, at 16v and at Evoultion, always developing serial cars and recognition  of new gimmicks, such as " daddy" , my "children"  they gave to me 6 consecutive worldwide titles.

And still today, at the contrary to all the other  cars realized for the rally, the Lancia Delta on the world roads cannot pass by unobserved,  and it is exactly for this that I decided to organize "Amiki Miei" and to invite you all, true lovers of this unique car, to celebrate and to see again how again it was driven by the drivers who brought victories  in all continents.
